We are able to provide cladding solutions to the most exacting architectural standards. With a long history in cladding installations on a wide range of international projects, our expertise and experience is what sets us apart.
Handset Cladding or ‘hand fixed’ is the predominant cladding method applied for medium and small façade projects. The handset system is designed to transfer the load of the entire cladding face to the foundations via brackets fixed at the base. The weight of each cladding panel is supported by the one below with mechanical fixings restraining each panel in the vertical position.
A curtain wall system is an outer covering of a building in which the outer walls are non-structural, but are merely designed for aesthetic purposes and to keep the weather out. The curtain wall façade does not carry any load weight from the building other than its own dead load weight. Stone elements can be incorporated within a curtain wall system via specially designed brackets and supporting frames, with loads transferred to ground in a similar way to handset cladding.
STONE FACED PRECAST:
By combining a stone face with a back structure of precast formed and shaped concrete, many options for rapid construction interlocking panels are achieved. With the stone faced precast method, the bulk of the fixing and forming work is done off-sight in the factory so that on-site, the cladding elements can be ‘plugged’ onto the building quickly, saving valuable time in the construction process.
