ISLE OF SKYE MARBLE

White marble has been quarried on the Isle of Skye for centuries. In the early years, large blocks were exported to Europe to be carved as premium marble for ornate buildings and interiors, as well as walling stone for local houses and castles! These days the marble is crushed on site, producing agricultural lime and decorative stone.

We select the best Isle of Skye aggregates, which are first washed before delivery to our factory in Manchester. Skye marble is characterised by tones of white and misty grey, as well as the occasional gold and green vein!
